Technology transfer department

Technology transfer department consists of a group for scientific and technical cooperation and a group for breeder's seeds.

Activities within the group for scientific and technical cooperation

  • Establishing new contacts in business cooperation, primarily abroad, whose final goal is the commercialization of the Institute's products
  • Registration and protection of hybrids and varieties abroad
  • Testing promising maize hybrids, as well as promising varieties of small grains and soybeans abroad
  • Supervision and evaluation of experiments carried out abroad
  • Selection of new hybrids and varieties for future commercialization on domestic and foreign markets based on the results of post-commission trials in the Republic of Serbia, as well as the results of trials abroad
  • Scientific cooperation with research institutions from abroad

Activities within the breeder's seed group

  • Multiplication of the required amounts of parent components of corn hybrids,
  • Maintenance of genetic purity of parental lines,
  • The parent lines of corn are sown from the "ear per row" reserve, exceptionally from the mass,
  • Maintaining a database of parental components, their quantities, genetic purity, and quality parameters.
