Quality Department
The main objectives of the Quality Department are:
- Ensuring compliance of the established quality systems with the required standards, its proper implementation and constant improvement
- Ensuring the implementation of all legal regulations related to environmental protection
The Quality Management System of the Maize Research Institute "Zemun Polje" is in compliance with the requirements of the SRPS ISO 9001: 2015 standard. A financial management and control system was also established. The professional competence of the employees is also confirmed by the accreditation of the Seed Testing Laboratory in accordance with the SRPS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, accreditation by the International Seed Testing Association, as well as the certification of the HACCP system for the production of integral corn flour.
The Institute was first certified on December 27, 2000, by the Federal Institution for Standardization according to the requirements of the standard version of that time, JUS ISO 9001. From then on, the requirements of the standard are satisfied and improved, which is confirmed by regular annual certification checks.
The established Quality Management System represents a foundation for the development of key business processes as well as business support processes. The Institute management has defined the Quality Policy in accordance with the determination to ensure efficiency and the effectiveness of the established Quality Management System through regular improvements.
Every employee contributes to the realization of the Quality Policy and goals through responsible work, according to their own authorization and responsibilities.
The vork of the Quality Department related to environmental protection is focused on waste management in acordance with legal regulations, its reduction and recycling, the optimal use of natural resources, as well as the implementation of preventive measures that prevent environmental pollution.
